The President of Tajikistan and the Asian Investment Bank emphasized the extension and continuation of their cooperation.
During the meeting between the President of Tajikistan and the President of the Asian Investment Bank, the two sides reiterated their interest in enhancing cooperations in various sectors.
Tajik President Mr. Emomali Rahmon met with Jin Lichin, head of the Asian Investment Bank, to discuss issues related to these collaborations.
President Emomali Rahmon described the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank as a trusted partner for development, highlighting its role in the implementation of numerous projects in the region and Tajikistan. Tajikistan cooperates with the Bank on financing Dushanbe-Tursunzadeh road, the improveme of the belt around the Uzbek Border as well as necessary upgrades and modernizations of hydropower plants in the country.
The president was expressing hope that the Asian Infrastructure and Investment Bank will continue to play an effective role in other projects in the energy and transportation sector in the central asian republic.
